Original Covering Letter from applicant on company’s letter head stating his name, passport number, designation, purpose and duration of the visit, duly signed by authorized signatory with company stamp and addressed to – Consulate General of Italy, Kolkatta.

Letter of invitation from Italian company as per the Sample Invitation Letter, in Italian, signed by the authorized person, along with photocopy of the pages of his/her picture ID (passaporto o carta d’identita) containing relevant data, signature and validity of the document.

• Personal ITR for the last 3 yrs
• Personal Bank Statement for last six months
• Salary slip for the last three months
• Credit Card copy/Foreign Exchange endorsement/Traveler’s Cheque

• Company Registration Certificate / Certificate of Incorporation

Ticket Itinerary

Original Medical Insurance for the stay duration amounting to 30,000 Euros.

Applicant will have to submit an authorization letter authorizing Insight Visa Consultancy to submit and collect documents.

With effect from 1st August 2015, third party collection of passports is no longer permitted. Applicants need to come personally to VFS for collecting their passports, or shall opt for courier service at preferred address. The address should be mentioned on the Covering-Letter/Courier form.

Please Note: VFS will courier the documents to the applicant's residence with an additional cost of Rs.323.

With immediate effect, Indian citizens travelling to Schengen countries for short-term (max 90 days in 180 days) will have to visit VFS visa application centre personally to provide biometric data (fingerprints and digital photograph). For subsequent applications within next 5 years the biometric data will be copied from the previous visa application included in the VIS.

• Arrange appointment for biometrics at VFS centres as per applicants’ convenience.
• Offer expert guidance on the documentation for the relevant visa application.
• Provide ‘Meet & Assist’ service at VFS centres by our Schengen specialists (24x7).
• Assist in visa fee payments (Online, Demand Draft, Cash).

Tourist

• Invitation letter from the sponsor in Italy (“Lettera di invito”)
• Photocopy of the pages of his/her picture ID containing relevant data, signature and validity of the document.
• Original and one photocopy of Bank Guarantee (“fidejussione bancaria”) from sponsor in Italy covering the expenses for the duration of stay as per the foreign exchange value. The original will be returned with the passport.

If you are under 18, you must also submit:

• If travelling with one parent a No Objection Affidavit from other parent must be provided.

• A copy of CDC (Continuous Discharge Certificate).
• Copy of signed Contract between the seaman and the shipping company / employer

• Original and photocopy of “Autorizzazione al lavoro” issued by competent “Ufficio Provincial del Lavoro – Segreteria Collocamento Spettacolo, Via Fornovo 8, 00193 ROMA (Labour Provincial Directorate – Division for the Show Business) or by the “Uffizi Special Collocamento dello Spettacolo” at Palermo (Special Labor Office).

An “undertaking letter” by the employer is mandatory, assuring that the applicants will return to India after the completion of their Work contract.
