  2. The photograph must not be more than three months old.
Covering Letter A covering letter from the company on its letterhead stating the applicant's name, designation, passport number, purpose of visit and duration of stay. The letter must be signed by an authorised signatory and include their name and designation. It should be addressed to:

Invitation Letter A copy of the invitation letter from the Chilean host or inviting company on its letterhead, stating the applicant's name, purpose of travel, duration of stay and sponsorship details. The letter must be signed by an authorised signatory, include their name and designation, and be notarised in Chile.
Financial Documents
  1. Personal bank statements for the last six months.
  2. Personal Income Tax Returns (ITR) for the last three years.
Proof of Occupation Self-employed: Proof of ownership.
Employed: Salary slips for the last three months.
Airline Reservation Ticket itinerary.
Medical Requirements Nil.
Authority Letter An authority letter authorising Insight Visa Consultancy to submit and collect the documents. The letter must be notarised on Rs. 50 stamp paper.
Please Note: The applicant must place their thumb impression next to their signature on the letter.
Additional Notes
  1. The Embassy will not entertain visa correction requests. Applicants will need to apply again and pay the visa fees again if a correction is required.
  2. Applicants holding a valid Chile visa in an old passport may travel with that visa, provided they carry both the new and old passports while travelling.

Work Contract An original work contract along with any of the following documents:
  1. Obligations of the employer to retain and deposit with the government the amount corresponding to income in relation to the remuneration paid.
  2. Documents confirming the employee's social security system and the obligation to pay social security and health contributions.
  3. The employer's commitment to pay the return ticket for the employee and dependants to their country of origin once the respective contract has concluded.
  4. If the work contract is signed only by the contracting party, then, once the visa is approved, it must be sent to the employee. Before legalisation at the Ministry of Justice and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, it must be signed before the Consulate of Chile, which will act as the certifying officer.

Police Clearance Certificate Original Police Clearance Certificate (PCC) from the Passport Office.

  1. Personal presence is mandatory.
  2. The Chilean Embassy has started issuing sticker visas instead of stamped visas. The information on the visa is the same as entered in the online application form. As the visa is no longer filled in manually, the Embassy will not entertain correction requests. The applicant will need to apply again and pay the visa fees again.
  3. Applicants holding a valid multiple-entry visa in an old passport may travel with that visa, provided they carry both the new and old passports while travelling.

Climate
